Why do you need a guitar teacher?

The short answer is: personal attention to your playing. As a trained teacher with years of experience I can give you focused and instantaneous feedback. I pride myself on attention to detail and helping students fine-tune their playing. The insight and encouragement you get from 1-1 lessons will help you improve much faster than struggling with videos and books by yourself.

● Lessons for all ages: beginners to advanced players welcome

● All styles covered from pop and rock through to metal, blues, funk, classical finger-style and jazz

● Learn the songs you want to play, technique, theory, improvisation, live performance and studio recording

● Work towards recognised guitar exam qualifications: RSL Rockschool, Trinity, RGT/LCM, ABRSM

● One to one lessons (usually 1 hour long)

● 100% student pass rate

About me

● Enhanced DBS check
● MA, BA HONS, PGCE, Guitar Institute/ICMP graduate

I have over 30 years guitar teaching experience, am a fully qualified school teacher (PGCE) and have an MA in Education. My students have varied from ages 4 to 60, from total beginners through to serious players and songwriters.
